Mitsubishi WD-65837 65-Inch 1080p 120Hz Home Theater DLP HDTV
Finally a winner in Rear projection
I've been watching the WD-65837 for a good two days now throwing everything at it Directtv...Bluray...HDDVD...and still this TV displys beautiful pictures. Colors are crisp and accurate. I calibrated the set using Joe Kanes HDTV calibration disc and although the green is still a little off it's closser than the WD65833 was.
So far loving this set!More detail ...

Mitsubishi WD-65C9 65-Inch 1080p Flat panel DLP Home Theater
Experienced Installer's Opinion
Please read all other reviews for in depth likes and dislikes of this WD-65C9. If this TV seems like it may be right for you then consider my advice.
Having installed hundreds of televisions for B***B** I've seen just about every brand and model of HDTV available priced from a few hundred dollars all the way to $30000 for boutique sets. With plasma and LCD sets picture quality can vary wildly. However with any new DLP projection HDTV of which only Mitsubishi models remain you are guaranteed a vibrant picture with deep blacks and no ghosting.
Everyone should be assured the C9 series has the exact same image quality and 3D readiness as the 737 and 837 models and at a significant discount. In my opinion the very few additions to the 737 and 837 series are unnecessary and not worth the money. I purchased this TV on one of it's low-price swings and at around a thousand I feel like I stole it. Projection sets of this quality were priced around $6000 only a few years ago. But these prices won't continue to go down. It isn't cost efficient for any company to sell such a large piece of electronics for much less than $1000 not to mention if you can get free shipping.
So my last piece of advice to anyone interested in this TV definitely buy this WD-65C9 but watch the price fluctuations and make sure you get a fair deal.More detail ...

Mitsubishi WD-60C9 60-Inch 1080p Flat panel DLP Home Theater
First HDTV purchase
This TV looks absolutely amazing I would highly recommend anyone looking for a large TV (in the range of 60"+) to get a DLP TV. Try finding a plasma or LCD of this size that's comparably priced--they don't exist. TV is very easy to setup has excellent picture quality great sound (suitable until you can setup a surround sound install for it) and a great price. The only downside is that DLP televisions are thicker generally than Plasma and LCD so they aren't usually wall mounted but for a savings of 1000+ USD who cares?
One thing I will say is if you go to a brightly lit showroom and compare LCD to Plasma to DLP you will probably think that DLP isn't as good because under that bright and harsh a light the brighter a TV appears the better you assume the picture quality but then when you bring it home those super bright colors just appear washed out and harsh. Also when dealing with LCD and Plasma after 20000 or so hours they will be significantly dimmer and at around 40000 hours they will probably be unwatchable and you'll have to buy an entirely new TV. With DLP after a few years you just need to pop in a new lamp at the cost of around 100 bucks and you've basically got a brand new TV.
Bottom line if you want a very large TV that supports 1080P and 120HZ (important for watching fast action scenes filmed at 24 FPS) and don't mind having to buy a stand instead of a wall mount kit then DLP is the way to go and this TV is among the best value in the DLP realm.
Also I must say buying with Amazon has proved to be a great experience. The first TV I received had a small crack in the bottom of the screen that occured during the shipping process. I called Amazon and they immediately shipped me a replacement. The carrier that came unpacked the new TV packed up the old damaged TV installed the new TV and took ALL the packaging for both TV's--Completely hassle-free!More detail ...
